About eczema: Atopic dermatitis is commonly known as eczema, means skin inflammation. Epidermis or the outer layer of the skin is mostly affected by it. Dry skin and rashes are resulted by it. Some common symptoms like swelling, itching and dryness, redness, blistering, flaking, crusting, oozing and bleeding can be seen in this disease. Area of the skin which is affected by eczema often losses its natural skin tone. Types of eczema: Eczema is not contagious in most cases. There are some important classifications of eczema according to their nature. Under less common eczemas we find dyshidrosis, discoid eczema, venous eczema, neurodermatitis and autoeczematization.
Nature of baby eczema: Eczema can attack people of any age but according to the statistical report it is found that infants are the maximum victims. Now we are going to discuss on various features of baby eczema. Babies, who are suffering from eczema, have a prominent family history of asthma, hay fever or other allergies. Babies who are the victims of eczema get such tendency from their parents. This germ of eczema has been passed on in them from their parents. It is a kind of genetical problem. In between 3-5 years old they are attacked by this disease. Parents normally take this problem of baby eczema in a light way. Thus it spreads its root and become incurable. But if it is diagnosed properly, more than half of the infants who are the victims of this eczema can get rid of it at the very first stage.
Baby eczema has some different kinds of symptoms regarding their phase. At the early stage of this disease kids may have dry, itchy, red skin and small bump on their soft skin. Mostly the areas like cheeks, scalp and forehead are affected by baby eczema. If it is not treated properly then it may spread all over. Sometimes kids may also suffer from round worm and scaly rashes.
Conclusion: It is seen that sometimes this tendency has gone away without leaving any mark of it. But in most cases it possesses a kind of recurring process means it use to come every year. Baby eczema get worsen with climatic change, wearing of tight woolen clothes and having dry weather. Proper diagnosis is required to identify the nature of baby eczema. Doctors mainly prescribe topical corticosteroid or steroid creams to apply on such baby eczema. Also they prescribe other medicines, lotions and antibiotics. Non-steroid ointments are now widely prescribed by the skin specialists.
