Eczema and Allergy

Eczema and allergy are closely related to each other. Before going to discuss on eczema and allergy we have to know about both these factors. We have to know about their nature, symptoms and tendency. But it is noteworthy here that eczema is mainly resulted from allergies.

About allergy: Allergy is a kind of hypersensitive disorder. It is mainly related to immune system. Allergy is an amplified reaction result which affects the body when it comes in contact with foreign substances. Allergy producing substances are known as allergens. Some important examples of allergens are food, dust mite, molds, pollens and dander. Hay fever, itching, hay fever and redness of eyes are some important examples of allergies. Mainly allergy forms when foreign substances come in contact with the body. Sneezing, coughing, fevers are some common symptoms of allergy.

Victims of eczema and allergy: Eczema and allergy can affect people of all ages. It depends on their allergenic tendency. Nature of allergens differs from man to man. But it is found that allergy made eczema affects the infants mainly. It is also noteworthy that women are more affected by eczema and allergy than men.

Way of treatment: Eczema is often resulted from allergy. Eczema and allergy need proper treatment. Diagnosis is the first step of such treatment. In such case doctors often prescribe for skin test which makes it easy to understand what type of treatment is applicable for you.  Such skin testing is also know as ‘prick testing’ and ‘puncture testing’ as it entertains series of pricks and puncture in patients skin. Sometimes if the condition of the eczema becomes serious then biopsy of skin is prescribed by the doctor. Also various blood testing are prescribed by the doctors to identify the nature of allergens.

Conclusion: doctors mainly prescribe some restrictions to prevent eczema and allergy. Restriction in food habit is an important part of its treatment. Apart from that, many preventive measures from dust mites, mold and other allergens are prescribed by the doctors. Corticosteroid creams are prescribed by the doctors. It is noteworthy here that strong steroid ointments are not good for face.
