Eczema is one type of skin infection that is capable of having various forms of effects on those that are affected by it. There are times that the affected person may end up having acid burns on the face. This kind of effect caused by eczema makes the face of the affected person look as if acid had been poured on it. You can however be sure that this kind doesn’t happen in all cases of eczema. It only happens in rather severe cases. In this case, the face will have all forms of patches here and there and it will look totally unpreventable.
It is not only the face that can be affected by eczema, even the feet too is never sparred. There is this effect on the feet that is called chapped fissured feet. This one too has its own characteristic kind of look that really sets the foot apart as if it is burnt. There are times the effect goes beyond the foot and extend to the other parts of the leg.
There are times that the arms are so much affected to the extent that they become spotted. Some pictures of eczema showing the effect of the skin disease on the hand and the arm shows the hand to look so spotted. It also goes beyond just this appearance to the extent that the hand begins to get reddish. It can’t be conclusive anyway to say a patient has eczema because of this look of the hands; this is because there are some other things that may lead to this kind of condition on the hands. It is not only that hands that are affected, even the elbow and every other part of the arm region can be thus affected.
The reason why the hand is so easily affected by eczema is because the hand easily comes in contact with all sorts of stuffs that can cause allergic reaction on the body. Eczema can pattern the hand in such a way that one begins to wonder at times if the rashes is not that of ringworm, the only difference is that the rashes caused by ringworm is not as reddish as the one caused by eczema.
The stomach and chest areas of someone affected by eczema will become so red. Even the back is not spared. In the case of babies, the picture of eczema will show the back and the chest area so red and the rashes are so many. One of the factors that make the eczema on the babies to look so much aggravated is due to the constant scratching that the babies subject their bodies to. This can be expected since these babies are rarely able to control themselves and they end up scratching the eczema each time it itches them. The appearance of eczema on kids can’t be as it is on adults since adults are still able to control themselves to an extent and not scratch the surface of the eczema when it itches them.
